Before we move on – let’s take another look at the float property and make sure we’re all happy :) At the bottom of this post is a list of great articles and tutorials, some date back quite a while but this technique still applies and the more you practise, the more confident you will becoming in using floats. A quick exercise to start off with.

Consider this typical page layout:

Bearing in mind that the green highlighted elements (see image below) are positioned with the float property – create the HTML structure and CSS, using background colours to display your boxes.
