formatting via Markdown
to format your text, add images and links - you can now use the lovely Markdown syntax. The small editor icons will do half the work for you - but if you wish to explore other options ~ see this reference from Daring Fireball (John Gruber)useful jQuery plugin

just thought I'd post this link here - for the jQuery Cycle plugin:

This allows you to set up images fades, slides and more - very well written, clearly explained and easy to configure. Might come in useful :)
If overused - this could be more distracting than interesting or engaging. So use with care!!!
And always keep your design in mind - it's easy to get carried away and have an overload of visual effects! Don't!
